Sycamore Academy is excited to begin our first annual Pennies for Paws campaign!

The campaign will run from 5/16 - to 5/27. All proceeds will be donated to the Lake Elsinore Animal Friends of the Valley.

Taking a page from our penny wars of the past, students can donate COINS to their classroom bucket to earn points. Students will earn 1 point for each cent. Students can also donate any foldable money (bills) to other classes to SUBTRACT their points! (i.e. donate 4 quarters = +100 points, donate $1 bill = -100 points) You can certainly help us make sure your child understands that they should put COINS in their class buckets and BILLS in other classes'. Once the money is in the bucket, it cannot be taken out.

The containers will be on the stage each morning at 7:30 AM and will be removed after the final lunch break at 12:45 PM. Students can deposit donations before school or on their lunch break.

WE NEED VOLUNTEERS! We could use parent volunteers to help count coins from 1:30 - 2:30 M-Th and 12:30 - 1:30 on Fridays. We want to be able to post results by the next morning so any help would be greatly appreciated!

The winning classrooms will receive a prize and will be honored at the 6/6 Scorpion Salute. We will award the class with the MOST POINTS and the class with the MOST MONEY.

Animal Friends of the Valley is scheduled to be present to receive the donation.

All money submitted by 12:30 p.m. on Friday, May 27th will count in the contest. Money received after that time will be donated to Animal Friends, but not counted toward/against any classroom total.
