Sycamore Academy has booked buses for transportation to and from filed trips. This is a school-sponsored field trip, therefore, STUDENTS MUST RIDE THE BUS TO AND FROM THE FIELD TRIP DESTINATION. Students will not be released from the field trip to a parent/guardian until the end of the field trip, except in the case of an emergency.

No cost for the field trip, but your student may want to bring money for assorted candy, snacks, beverages and souvenirs.

__ Required MSA Forms

__ Modest bathing suit

__ Jacket (waterproof)

__ Hat, sunglasses

__ Toiletries

__ Towels (bath and beach)

__ Pillow

__Fitted twin sheet   

__Day pack (backpack, small enough for them to carry themselves)

__ 2 Pens/pencils

__ Mask and snorkel (required)

__ Insect repellent

__ Watch

__ Lip balm

__ Change of clothing for length of the stay

__Shoes (2 pairs: hiking & a pair that can get wet)

__ Flashlight with extra batteries

__ Sunscreen

__ Spiral notebook (5x7 or larger)

__ Water bottle

__ Warm sleeping bag

__ Plastic bag for wet items

__ Rain poncho

__ Spending money (in low denominations)  

OPTIONAL ITEMS:

__ Wetsuit

__ Camera or binoculars 

(PLEASE DO NOT BRING SNACKS OR FOOD ITEMS TO CAMP UNLESS YOU HAVE FOOD ALLERGIES AND IT HAS BEEN APPROVED BY MSA)

1. Electronic games
2. Suitcases (pack everything in a soft pack)
3. Candy, soda, or chewing gum (ABSOLUTELY no food allowed in tents)
4. Cell phone or MP3 players (PER MSA)
5. Bad attitudes
6. Skimpy clothes (i.e. bikinis, short shorts, halter tops, etc..)

We discourage bringing valuables. MSA and Sycamore Academy are not responsible for lost or stolen items.

*If items are left at camp, there will be a minium $25.00 recovery fee in order to return items.

PLEASE DO NOT OVERPACK! 

STUDENTS MUST BE ABLE TO CARRY THEIR OWN GEAR IN ONE TRIP!
